AX Hotels Malta Group Hospitality Director Claire Zammit Xuereb has assured the public of the hotel chain’s strict adherence to the highest hygiene standards, as a result of the COVID-19 virus.
“All our employees are fully aware of the current requirements and we are undertaking extreme levels of health and safety procedures to ensure the highest possible hygiene standards are adhered to and respected,” she said in a company statement.
AX Hotels is one of the largest hotel operators in Malta forming part of AX Group. Having recently expanded its group, AX Hotels is currently made up of seven hotels, with three of its properties located in the heart of Sliema; AX The Palace, a 5-star luxury hotel, AX The Victoria Hotel, a superior 4-star hotel, and the 200-year old AX Palazzo Capua with a magnificent history.
Further up north, in Qawra, AX Hotels offers two resort accommodation; AX Seashells Resort at Suncrest and AX Sunny Coast Resort & Spa. Malta’s historic capital city of Valletta hosts AX The Saint John – a smart boutique accommodation that caters for independent and design-obsessed travellers. Rosselli is a brand new 5-star luxury accommodation that opened its doors in 2019.
While around 100 million people are on lockdown across Europe as a result of the pandemic, hotels and hospitality businesses have been among the hardest hit.
“With Covid-19 developing rapidly in so many countries around the world, our commitment is to abide firmly to W.H.O advice and the protocols advised by local and international authorities,” Ms Zammit Xuereb said of the developing situation.
“The well-being of our guests and our staff is our highest priority, and you can be assured that health and safety are of the utmost importance to us.
“We are following developments on a daily basis with intense scrutiny as things are changing by the day. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for always trusting us as a brand.”
