Wayne Zarb, a human resources professional with extensive experience in Government-owned companies and agencies, has moved to the private sector, taking on the role of Tech HR Business Partner at Red Acre Ltd.

Balluta-based Red Acre Ltd is a company offering bespoke business support solutions for all compliance, payments and general support needs.

In his new position, Mr Zarb will be an advocate for the company’s technology teams, “compiling feedback and information to make data-driven decisions and provide solid advice for the management team”.

He says he will be “guiding and influencing where necessary” thanks to “an innate ability to balance business objective with employee interests.”

He also describes himself as a “hardworking, open minded, risk-taking and organised person.”

Mr Zarb has been working in HR since 2014, when a four-month stint at JobsPlus led to a long-term position at MIMCOL, a state-owned investment company.

During his almost four years there, he was promoted from Payroll Executive to Senior Executive – HR and Payroll.

In 2018, he joined Air Malta, where he spent just under four years, leaving the company in April 2022 as an HR Operations Manager.

He then worked as Human Resources Manager at Transport Malta for a year, before joining Red Acre Ltd.

Mr Zarb also founded his own business, Ontimepay, in 2022, and he continues to work on a freelance basis as an HR and Payroll Consultant.

He hold a Bachelor's degree in HR Management from the University of Chester.

His LinkedIn profile is full of praise and endorsements from colleagues and superiors, who describe him “methodical”, “a pleasure to work with”, and “highly efficient, motivated and resourceful”.

More than one former colleague highlighted that Mr Zarb “went out his way” to help employees and find solutions to any issues that arose.
