Virtu Ferries announced it has facilitated a landmark agreement between CNA – Associazione Territoriale di Ragusa and the Malta Chamber of SMEs, which is aimed at enhancing the free movement of goods and services between Sicily and Malta.
Virtu Ferries has for several years run a daily scheduled ferry service between Malta and Pozzallo, the commercial port of the Province of Ragusa.
As part of this new initiative, Virtu Ferries will make available its 24,000 m² logistics hub currently under construction in Pozzallo, as well as the Sicily Business Centre located at the Sea Passenger Terminal.
Under the terms of the agreement, CNA and the Malta Chamber of SMEs will work closely together, sharing expertise and support services for their respective members.
The collaboration will promote synergies and strategic partnerships between Maltese and Ragusa-based enterprises, including assistance in accessing EU funding.
They said the support should encourage new commercial links, joint ventures, and startup initiatives, delivering tangible benefits for small and medium-sized enterprises in both Malta and the Ragusa region.
