Tonio Axisa on Monday announced that he has been appointed Manager of Employer Relations at professional and education services provider IDEA Group.

His new experience is not his first stint with IDEA Group, as he has also been Student Research Supervisor at the group’s education arm, IDEA Academy, for over two years.

Prior to his newest position, Mr Axisa was Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities Malta (RMHC Malta) for more than four years, having amassed various years of experiences working in voluntary youth organisations at both national and international levels.

He left RMHC Malta and the social sector last week, stating that during his 13 years in the social sector, his “biggest challenge” was to bridge it with the corporate world.

Aside from his two aforementioned positions at IDEA Group, he is also a Visiting Lecturer at University of Malta.

Mr Axisa’s long career includes experiences at Jobsplus, JA Malta Foundation, GO plc, and Bank of Valletta plc, working in a wide array of areas, including marketing, customer care, as well as training and development.

He holds a Master of Arts in Youth & Community Development from De Montfort University, and is also reading for Doctor of Philosophy in Disability and Employment at the same university. He also has a Diploma in Youth Studies from University of Malta.

IDEA Group is made up of four distinct arms, all with the aim of empowering organisations and individuals to “work smarter, thus becoming more efficient”. IDEA Academy offers a range of accredits programmes in various fields, while IDEA Advisory provides personalised consulting services in areas of management. IDEA Intelligence is the group’s data-driven business intelligence wing, while IDEA Resourcing offers training to assist employees’ performance.
