The Westin Dragonara Resort has appointed Andre Bartoli as its new Director of Sales and Marketing, superseding Edward Bonello, who held the role for more than 14 years.
“Your leadership and contributions have been invaluable to the excellent results the hotel has achieved over the years, and I am truly appreciative of the solid foundation you’ve helped build,” Mr Bartoli remarked.
Making the announcement on LinkedIn last week, he expressed that it is an honour and privilege to form part of the “incredible” property leadership team. Mr Bartoli has worked at the hotel for more than 16 years, serving the role of Assistant Director of Sales and Marketing for the past four years. He originally joined the hotel as Food and Beverage Supervisor in 2007.
The Westin Dragonara Resort is a luxurious five-star hotel in St Julian's, which has been up and running for the past 26 years. The “multi-generational favourite” features more than 400 rooms and suites which were recently renovated as part of a €40 million investment.
Mr Bartolo also noted that he feels fortunate to work closely with "such a talented and dedicated team". He added: "I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead as we work together to achieve continued success and deliver exceptional experiences to our guests."
He emotionally penned his gratitude towards every person who has been part of his journey. He proceeded to thank the hotel’s General Manager Michael Camilleri Kamsky along with Mariott International Director of Digital Field Marketing Pavlos Foskolakis and Area Director of Sales and Distribution David Barlett for entrusting him with the role and for their support and guidance.
