Following three months of closure due to COVID-19 restrictions, The Phoenicia Malta is set to reopen its doors on Wednesday 24th June, debuting a new look and feel for both the brand and guest experience.

“We have always had one goal for The Phoenicia Malta: to become renowned as the leading Urban Luxury Hotel in the Mediterranean. The history and beauty of this iconic hotel provided the stage, our huge investment in 2016 added the luxury, and we have used the last few months to create new experiences, and a new look, which shows the world we are ready to be at the forefront of safe and luxurious travel,” said Mark Shaw, owner of The Phoenicia Malta.

Throughout the last months, works have been ongoing to curate a new brand and positioning for the hotel which celebrates and enhances its extensive history, focusing on a richer customer experience.

One of the main components is set to be the hotel’s Bastion Pool, which will open to day-guests for the first time. Saturdays by the pool will feature live DJ and outdoor experiences complemented with a summer menu by Executive Chef Daniel Debattista and his team, and cocktails created by The Phoenicia Malta Food & Beverage Director, Silvan Camilleri. The new Summer at The Phoenicia Malta programme will be celebrated with a launch on Saturday 4th July 2020 in collaboration with Events by Martin, which will be by reservation only.

“This is a very special opportunity for us to offer this unique venue to the Maltese residents for Summer 2020, we are confident that many people will want to take the opportunity to enjoy our garden and relaxed poolside experience so close to the historic city of Valletta,” said Brice Kemper, General Manager of The Phoenicia Malta.
