Seasoned sales professional Sharon O’Neill Libreri has been appointed Sales Manager at SBC, the global events company announced on Thursday.

Her new role comes after she left Computime Systems Integration last month following what she dubbed as an “incredible and amazing seven-year journey”. She had first joined the company as Business Development and Account Executive in 2016, before she enjoyed a series of promotions, having most recently served as Senior Sales Fulfilment Manager – Business Development, a role she held for more than two years.

Speaking about her new position at SBC, Ms O’Neill Libreri said: “For the past 20 years, I have attended, participated and networked at various industry expos, events in Malta and all over the world, some events even at inception.”

She remarked that during that time, she was “always amazed by the level of quality, professionalism and personalised approach” that SBC offers to its partners and clients. Having worked in technology, telecoms, and IT, moving to the area of events, media, and advisory was a “natural step” for her.

“Using the wealth of experience I gained, I am now super thrilled and excited to have joined this amazing company to start a new chapter of my career with SBC and to be part of the fantastically talented, professional, and motivated team that makes SBC the success it is,” she added.

Ms O’Neill Libreri also said that she is looking forward to “once again building amazing, long-lasting relationships”, and to being of service to companies and clients, “adding value to their business and creating some magic”.

Ms O’Neill Libreri has over 25 years of local and international experience in various industries covering various areas of management, with a special focus on business growth, sales, business development, and account management.

She holds a Master’s in Business Administration degree from University of Reading and a Diploma in Marketing from The Chartered Institute of Marketing, among other qualifications.

SBC is a global events, media and advisory business that works with industry leaders and decisionmakers to develop and grow the sports, betting, and iGaming industries. It is comprised of SBC Events, SBC Media and SBC Advisory Partners. Ms O’Neill Libreri will be joining its events function, which organises some of the largest international events in the aforementioned industries.
