Steven Galea Pace has started a new role as an Associate at the Dutch branch of the US-headquartered investment bank Goldman Sachs.

The change in role follows the acquisition of NN Investment Partners, an asset manager based in The Hague, by Goldman Sachs for €1.7 billion in 2022.

In an announcement made in April 2022, the American multinational said that the Dutch firm’s employees, numbering over 900, would be integrated into the Goldman Sachs family as the Netherlands continues becoming "an important location in Goldman Sachs’ European business and a center of excellence for sustainability in public markets investing”.

The company said that the acquisition brings Goldman Sachs’ assets under supervision to approximately $2.8 trillion ($600 billion in Europe) and “affirms its position as a top five active asset manager globally with leading franchises in fixed income, liquidity, equities, alternatives and insurance asset management.”

It said that NN Investment Partners is “highly complementary to Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s existing European footprint, adding new capabilities and accelerating growth in products such as European equity and investment grade credit, sustainable and impact equity, and green bonds.”

Mr Galea Pace joined NN Investment Partners in 2019, initially working as an Investments Trainee before being promoted to the role of Equity Investments Analyst.

He previously worked for short stints as a Valuations and Fund Pricing Officer with audit firm PwC, Risk and Regulatory Officer with BOV, and Compliance Officer with Domino Forex.

He also co-founded the Student Association of Investors in 2015.
