Simonds Farsons Cisk plc on Thursday announced a number of changes to the composition of its Board of Directors, including two appointments and two resignations.
Marquis Marcus John Scicluna Marshall and Baroness Justine Pergola, both previously Non-Executive Directors (NEDs), have left their post within the Board of Directors. The former had worked at the company for over two decades, while the latter joined as NED over a year ago, having succeeded her mother, the late Baroness Christiane Ramsay Scicluna.
The pair’s roots have been linked to the company for decades, with the Scicluna family being crucial for the Cisk element within Simonds Farsons Cisk’s story.
The company’s Board of Directors thanked Marquis Scicluna Marshall and Baroness Pergola for their services over the years.
Additionally, Simonds Farsons Cisk announced that Matthew Marshall and Neil Psaila have been appointed NEDs in their stead.
Mr Marshall is Deputy CEO of the Estate of Marquis Scicluna, while Mr Psaila is a certified chartered accountant and CEO of Tabria Property and Hospitality Management, as well as Palazzo Parisio.
The company also announced the resignation of Marquis Scicluna Marshall from the Audit and Risk Committee, with Mr Psaila replacing him. The committee is now made up of Roderick Chalmers as Chairperson, Marina Hogg and Mr Psaila.
Simonds Farsons Cisk is the holding company of Farsons Group, and is also its manufacturing arm. Established in 1928, the group has a long history on the Maltese Islands, and is engaged in the brewing, production, sale and distribution of its own-branded and international beers and beverages, as well as the importation, wholesale and retail of food products and beverages, among a number of other services.
