“So ready for this exciting chapter”, shares Sharon Mizzi excitedly, as she reveals on social media that she will be joining TikTok, the video-sharing mega platform with widespread global popularity, as a Sales Coordinator.

Ms Mizzi will be joining the company’s Los Angeles office and will work within the Global Business Solutions Team. She has been in Los Angeles since 2019, working for various established businesses such as Studio71, Wassabi Productions and Lennon Management Inc.

Prior to this, she served as a Marketing Executive with Mizzi Motors Limited, and has experience with the Isle of MTV press team, as well as PBS Ltd.

Celebrating the new position with TikTok, Ms Mizzi thanked several people for helping her through the interview process.

“I am so excited to officially be part of such an amazing team!” she shares.

First launched in China, TikTok was rolled out to the rest of the world in 2017 by its parent company, ByteDance. According to Nikkei Asia, a global survey of downloads in 2020 showed TikTok on top of the list of social media providers for the first time since the study was first conducted in 2018.

This means the video-sharing platform has taken over Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram as the most downloaded social media app.
