The seventh edition of the Malta Michelin Guide will be announced on 17th February, the Malta Tourism Authority has confirmed with WhosWho.mt.

Restaurants will be watching closely to see whether they have made the cut.

However, industry insiders say they do not expect any major changes in the number of starred establishments this year.

Last year, Sliema’s Le GV was awarded a Michelin star only a few months after opening its doors, while Bahia became the first Maltese establishment to lose its star, dropping to the Michelin Guide.

Fernandõ Gastrotheque, De Mondion, Noni, Rosamì and Under Grain all retained their stars, while ION Harbour by Simon Rogan maintained its spot as the only Maltese establishment with two Michelin stars.

AYU, Grain Street, Rubino, Terrone and Commando were all awarded the Bib Gourmand for serving high-quality food at a great value.

Meanwhile, Seafood Market Grill, Risette and La Pira joined Bahia as the new restaurants on the Michelin Guide, while Kuya was removed from the list.
