RS2 plc has announced that its subsidiary, RS2 Smart Processing, has finalised three new agreements to provide payment processing services across Latin America and Europe.
According to a company announcement, the deals form part of RS2’s strategic focus on expanding its Processing Solutions business, particularly in Latin America.
One of the agreements marks the company’s first client engagement through one of its recently announced partnerships. The deal involves a leading Latin American payment services provider, for whom RS2 will orchestrate an acquiring platform. The solution will include integrations with local issuers to support in-country bilateral agreements, as well as connectivity with both domestic and international payment schemes such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, and Discover.
RS2’s platform will deliver end-to-end services, including authorisation and clearing, merchant billing and settlement, and statementing, alongside service portals like the Merchant Portal and Client Agent Web Interface.
The second deal, with a European client, involves the delivery of a fully-fledged issuing card management system that enables the company to serve its international client base. The services cover comprehensive card management, authorisations, and clearing.
Meanwhile, the third agreement, also in Europe, will see RS2 provide an acquiring platform for a payments provider operating across both the EU and UK markets. RS2 will supply the underlying architecture for authorisations and clearing, incorporating real-time calculation of interchange and scheme fees.
The company noted that the two European contracts resulted from direct sales efforts by the RS2 team.
Revenue from these new agreements will include one-time implementation fees – recognised throughout the implementation period, which is already underway – and ongoing transaction processing income once the clients go live.
The implementation terms range from three to twelve months, while the contracts themselves span five to seven years, bolstering RS2’s base of recurring revenue.
