The Institute of Tourism Studies had the honour of hosting globally acclaimed Chef Richard Sandoval. The visit, which took place earlier this month, proved to be a momentous occasion for both faculty and students alike.

Chef Sandoval, recognised as the world’s most prolific Mexican chef and restaurateur with over 60 locations on four continents, and for his groundbreaking contributions to Latin cuisine, met with the ITS’s top management, including the CEO and COOs.

This was followed by a tour of the ITS Malta campus, guided by the Institute's Food and Beverage Coordinator, Claude Scicluna. The esteemed chef toured the training laboratories including kitchens and training restaurants, witnessing firsthand the commitment of the institute to providing a world-class education in the culinary arts.

During the tour, Chef Sandoval took the opportunity to interact with lecturers and student chefs, engaging in insightful conversations about the operations during the lectures.

The Institute of Tourism Studies extended its gratitude to Chef Richard Sandoval and Mercury Towers who were responsible for this introduction and visit.
