Recruitment and human resources (HR) specialist Martina Fenech has been promoted to Senior Recruitment Consultant at professional services firm GCS Malta, she announced on Monday.

Ms Fenech first joined GCS Malta as Junior Recruitment & HR Advisor, a position she stayed in for 11 months before she was promoted to HR Executive. Following that, she made the move to the recruitment department at the start of 2022 as a Recruitment Consultant, where she was responsible for the Business Support and Financial Services desk within the department. In that position, she searched for and networked with candidates, held meetings with clients and prospective candidates, performed pre-screen interviews and calls, and also managed the interview process.

“These past few months have been super busy and challenging to say the least. However, they were most certainly rewarding,” she added, before sharing that she is “proud” she has achieved her “goal and target” and is “ready to take on the next challenge” in her new position at the company.

Apart from her time at GCS Malta, Ms Fenech also had prior experience in recruitment through a three-month spell as Junior Recruitment Consultant at Broadwing Job Placement Agency.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Policy at University of Malta and also a Level Five Award in HR Management and Development from Misco. Ms Fenech describes herself as a “hardworking and goal-oriented” individual, with a focus to “fully understand the candidates’ wants, make them feel at ease, and match their profiles to available vacancies”.

Founded in 2017 by CEO Christian Gravina, GCS Malta is a corporate services provider that acts as a “one-stop-shop” to its clients. While it initially offered accounting and assurance services, it has since grown to also offer advisory, audit, and corporate services.
