Qatar Airways plans to resume its direct flights between Malta and Doha on 16th September.

Flights between the two countries have been suspended since war and tensions in the Middle East led to the closure of Qatari airspace.

However, Qatar’s aviation sector is now moving to restore normality and the airline recently announced it will expand its international flight network, with services to over 150 destinations from 16th June.

While Malta isn’t included in this schedule, a Qatar Airways spokesperson tells WhosWho.mt that the plan is to resume flights on 16th September.

In fact, direct flights between Doha and Malta, four times weekly, are currently available from Qatar Airways’ website starting from that date.

Qatar Airways resumed direct flights to Malta in July 2025, after the service was suspended for several years following the Covid-19 pandemic.
