The Italian restaurant Mezzodi, recently awarded the Michelin Plate for its good food, has announced that it will be closing its Valletta premises after making a “difficult decision”.
Taking to Facebook, Mezzodi said it was making the announcement “with a heavy heart”.
While making it clear that this was “not a goodbye but [a] see you later”, Mezzodi said it is working hard on finding a new home.
“We will be back bigger and better so keep your eyes open for updates!”
Explaining its decision, the team said it had no choice but to “revise our business model product” after “a tough two years”.
“We are going to miss our beautiful spot in the fabulous city of Valletta and at the beautiful Domus Zamittello,” it said.
However, it reminded customers that other outlets operated by the team, Giuseppi’s Bar & Bistro and Rubino are open for “business as usual”.
