MEYN Energy, believed to be Malta’s first energy drink company, has successfully surpassed its crowdfunding goal of €5000.

With nine days left on Zaar, a local crowdfunding platform, the campaign has already raised nearly three times its initial target, thanks to the support of 43 backers who financially contributed to the project.

Out of the €13,875 raised through Zaar, €12,000 came from just two corporate sponsors. In exchange, they will receive 5,000 cans featuring their company branding.

MEYN Energy offers two flavours – Tropical Passion and Sour Berry – and takes pride in being free from artificial ingredients, chemicals and added sugars.

Instead, it relies on real fruit juices, lion’s mane mushroom for enhanced focus and energy, ginseng, root, and naturally sourced caffeine for a clean boost.

Matthew Cassar, the founder of the all-natural energy drink, not only has an aversion to coffee but also recognised the long-term health risks posed by many conventional energy drinks.

Having struggled with ADHD for years, Mr Cassar was determined to create a drink that would help him stay focused and concentrated on the tasks at hand.

After extensive research and countless experiments in his kitchen, Mr Cassar eventually perfected a recipe under the name Juized. As demand for his product grew, he realised the need to scale up production, which led to the creation of MEYN Energy.
