MeDirect Malta has announced a new collaboration agreement with the University of Malta’s (UoM) Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy (FEMA). Through this partnership, MeDirect will engage directly with students to provide valuable insights into the banking industry and specific educational challenges, in addition to, employment opportunities.
The Dean of FEMA, Emmanuel Said, explained that “the collaboration agreement is a significant step in the Faculty’s quest to ensure that business students engage in contemporary research and learning as part of their preparation for the world of professional work in the banking sector.”
Under the terms of the agreement, FEMA students will have priority access to MeDirect’s Student and Graduate Internship programmes. These programmes offer positions spanning various departments within the organisation. This includes internship roles in banking, finance and economics, technology and marketing, with the opportunity of fulltime employment once completed.
HR Business Partner at MeDirect Malta Sara Strijbosch highlighted that MeDirect has numerous initiatives with UoM, MCAST amongst other educational institutions. Ms Strijbosch emphasised that this new collaboration will be mutually beneficial for the bank, the faculty “and, most importantly, the students.”
