McDonald’s has announced it will be introducing an 11pm curfew on all outlets, barring Sliema, in an effort to comply with regulations.
On 16th October, Malta announced an 11pm curfew on all bars and kazini, as the country continued to register triple digit daily increases of COVID-19.
One week later, McDonald’s announced it would be closing all of its restaurants, with the exception of the Sliema outlet, at 11pm. This includes the McDonald’s drive through and McDonald’s delivery services through third-party companies, such as Wolt delivery.
Since the announcement of Malta’s 11pm curfew on bars¸ they have now been ordered to close as from this Thursday until 1st December.
Kazini will be permitted to remain open until 11pm, however they are no longer allowed to serve alcohol.
