Seasoned logistics specialist Marc Pace has been named Operations Manager at maritime and logistics company CMA CGM, he announced on Friday. While he has over 23 years of experience at the firm’s operations in Malta, he has now joined its Antwerp offices.

Prior to his new role, Mr Pace served as Terminal Planning Manager at Malta Freeport Terminals for just under a year-and-a-half.

During his previous experience at CMA CGM, he worked in a number of different positions, starting out as Import Call Supervisor, before being promoted to Logistics Manager and afterwards to Cargo Flow and IT Manager, staying at the latter for more than 15 years.

Mr Pace describes himself as a “strong operations professional,” who is particularly skilled in business processes, freight, electronic data interchange (EDI), international shipping, logistic support, as well as customer relations.

Serving more than 420 ports across five continents, Marseille-based CMA CGM has become a global leader in shipping and logistics since its establishment in 1978. Through its fleet of 580 vessels, the company transported 22 million TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units) containers in 2021. CMA CGM has a presence in 160 countries through its network of more than 400 offices and 750 warehouses.
