MAPFRE MSV Life plc has appointed Etienne Sciberras as its new CEO, taking over from former long-standing CEO David G Curmi, who is now chairman at Air Malta.
Mr Sciberras, whose appointment as CEO is effective from 1st April, brings with him a wealth of experience, having been with the insurance giant since 2001.
He first occupied the post of Senior Manager for Investments, until 2012.
Following this, he spent nine years as the company’s Chief Risk Officer.
According to the company’s website, MAPFRE MSV Life plc is the largest life insurance company in Malta, with an authorized share capital of €60 million. The company has over 100,000 policies in force, with a total of 94,000 policy holders.
