iCentre has reported a strong demand among Maltese consumers for the iPhone 18 which was released last weekend.

Speaking to WhosWho.mt, an iCentre spokesperson said the larger Pro Max version continues to be the preferred size among early adopters.

Apple’s new burgundy finish has emerged as the favourite colour among local consumers, continuing a trend of new colours becoming top sellers.

In terms of storage, 256GB remains very popular, although iCentre is seeing a “significant number” of customers opting to upgrade to 512GB.

“Demand has been very strong this year, and we anticipate another increase once the iPhone Duo launches later this year, expected around late October to early November,” they said.

The latest iPhone, the first with camera aperture control, was launched in Malta last Friday. A number of people queued outside the iCentre at The Quad in Mrieħel to get their hands of it, with some even waiting overnight to be among the first in line.

Local iCentre prices start at €1,549 for for an iPhone 18 Pro with 256GB of storage and go up to €3,249 for an iPhone 18 Pro Max with 2TB of storage.

The iPhone Duo, which is set to launch in the coming months, will be first foldable iPhone, with Maltese prices set to start from €2,469.
