A Maltese engineer has achieved a significant milestone after she was named in the 2020 TechWomen100, being recognised among the top 100 women in the technology industry in the UK and Ireland.

Ms Mohnani received her education locally at St. Martin’s College, and went on to study at St. Aloysius, garnering a number educational awards along her journey. She went on to study at the University of Bath, where she graduated with a Master of Engineering – MEng, Chemical Engineering - first class.

Ms Mohnani went on to work for a number of institutions within the United Kingdom, forming part of several women’s engineering societies. Presently, she is part of Deloitte London, where she works as a business operations consulting analyst with a special emphasis on the public sector.

In addition, she has also been recognised as one of the Salters’ Institute’s top five UK Chemical Engineers 2019 for her work in championing women in STEM as a female role model.

If that wasn’t enough, Ms Mohnani is also the leader of Codename MAXINE, a community aiming to expand female and other minority groups within the male-dominated tech industry.

Taking to social media after she was named in 2020’s TechWomen100, Ms Mohnani thanked the award judges, colleagues and Deloitte, while also congratulating her fellow achievers.
