Former Maltese FIA Top Fuel Drag Racing Champion Duncan Micallef has once again confirmed his title as fastest driver in Europe.
On his first qualifying run on Friday 9th August, Mr Micallef broke his previous record and set a new European record in the fastest motorsport class. He participated in the Scandinavian Internationals at the Tierp Arena in Sweden.
Sharing the announcement on Malta Motorsport Federation, the team noted that the time of 3.79 seconds and “a mind-boggling speed of 321.4 miles per hour (MPH) left everyone in the arena in sheer amazement.”
Mr Micallef is the President of the Federation and also the Chairman of the Drag Racing Commission within the International Federation of Automobiles. He was elected by the FIA’s World Motor Sport Council and will be chairing the 2024/2025 season.
