Well-known fashion stylist Caroline Paris has rejoiced that her dream is almost fully alive, through the upcoming launch of her jewellery brand, mon éclat.

Ms Paris has officially worked as a fashion stylist over the past decade, and, was even awarded Best Fashion Stylist at the Malta Fashion Awards three times – the maximum number of times this award may be given to an individual.

She is the resident fashion stylist for Style Magazine and the Sunday Circle, while also having worked on several local TV series and advertising campaigns.

Taking to her personal blog, Ms Paris says that originally, she had dreamed about owning a clothes boutique, and, while that dream was never fully realised, working as a fashion stylist created a desire to build something she could call her own.

With this, was born mon éclat - “a jewellery brand for jewellery lovers everywhere,” Ms Paris writes on her blog.

mon éclat, when translated literally from French to English, means ‘my shine’.

Ms Paris writes that “it is a play on words to really epitomise the feeling and symbolism of shining from within.

“To shine as an individual means to really find what it is about you that makes you you, that makes you special, that makes you sparkle.

“On this blog I have always preached, yes preached, about wearing what you want irrespective of what others think, I myself have worn outfits others hated, worn socks with shoes that caused a stir and never saw a hat I shyed away from.

“I did it because it is how I shine, others shine in different ways, through career choices, through helping others, through fighting for what they believe in. I see mon éclat as a community of people who shine in different ways but share a love for beauty.”

Ms Paris continues by stressing the time taken to painstakingly go over ever detail with each supplier, ensuring a range of products to suit different day-to-day situations.

mon éclat is currently in the pre-launch phase, while the official launch date is set for 20th October.
