Legal circles in Malta are mourning the passing of lawyer Martin Fenech who departed this morning at the age of 62.

The Chamber of Advocates issued a statement saying it was “is deeply saddened” by the passing of Martin Fenech, who was “a respected member of the Chamber and a cherished member of the legal profession.”

“Dr Fenech was a charismatic, gentle, and helpful lawyer whose dedication and warmth touched the lives of many. His legacy of professionalism and kindness will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of working with him.”

“His integrity, and dedication to the practice of law will be fondly remembered. We extend our sincere condolences to his family, colleagues, and friends during this difficult time.”

Is-Soċjetà Mużikali Peace, a band club in Naxxar where Dr Fenech served as President between 2012 and 2019, extended its condolences. 

“He left a significant impact on the entire community,” the club said. 

The Nationalist Party faction of Naxxar also sent its condolences.
