KSU, Malta's university student's council, has announced the launching of the KSU PwC Malta Careers Expo 2021, a digital, four-week long event aiming to connect students to potential employees to enable them to “soar to success”.
This annual event is taking a new format this year, it says, “with new concepts to guarantee [participants] opportunities to interact with different companies in [their] field”.
Via its website, students can register for interviews with potential employers, which will be held online by KSU after participants fill in a form with the companies they are interested in.
It calls for students to participate, saying, “the CV is an important part of preparing for a future career - make sure it's perfect by submitting it to KSU and the professionals at PwC Malta will give you feedback on how to get it ready to impress your next employer.”
This year's expo will give students the opportunity to tour the different companies on board, through the brand-new website which will showcase each one of them individually, together with the opportunities that they're offering and the students they're looking for, KSU says.
In addition, over the next month, KSU will host a number of episodes of its brand-new Careers Podcast, which will cover different tips and tricks by employers and by recent graduates on how to find a job they’ll love, and excel at it.
The student group's partnership with PwC was first launched in November.
Through the three year partnership, PwC Malta is supporting KSU in various initiatives aimed at assisting students throughout their University journey and particularly during the challenges posed by COVID.
Lisa Pullicino, Human Capital partner at PwC commented, "over the past years, PwC has continued to evolve into a multidisciplinary firm. We are excited to offer a vast range of opportunities to students ranging from accountancy to technology.
"We strongly believe that the student community represents tomorrow’s leaders and we are committed to [supporting them] in making their aspirations and professional goals a reality".
