Marina Ivanović, who started her recruitment career at Konnekt in Malta, has been acknowledged by Forbes on its 30 Under 30 in Europe list.
Ms Ivanović, who is now Head of Recruitment at Kolibri Games at Ubisoft, was recognised by the magazine for her work as Gaming Diversity Advocate.
Celebrating her achievement on LinkedIn, she gave particular thanks to Rebecca Mifsud, her mentor and friend when she joined Konnekt, who advised her to “always do what’s right by people and that success and job satisfaction would follow”.
This principle, she says, never failed her, “and never will”.
Forbes describes her as “an LGBTQ+ advocate striving for more diversity in the workplace”.
She “has charted an impressive rise from a small IT & iGaming agency in Malta to Head of Recruitment at Kolibri Games”, it says, “away from the office, she’s partnered with Google to hold workshops and seminars that promote and empower women in the gaming industry”.
Forbes’ 30 Under 30 series identifies “young creative and bold minds”, who are proof "that the future will be new, exciting and profoundly different”.
The category in which Ms Ivanović was recognised, Sport and Gaming, had on its judging panel a CEO, sports team manager, and an international football player.
