Over the weekend, it was announced that Saviour Seisun, former Head of the Maltese Department at Junior College, passed away.
Posting about the news on its Facebook page, the Maltese Department showed its appreciation for his work with students and colleagues over the years, “for the benefit of the Maltese language.”

"In this difficult moment, as we navigate the loss, we send our condolences to the family and friends of Salvu, and we hope that you can find solace in remembering the times spent together,” the department wrote.
It also shared a number of photos of Saviour during a public seminar held on Saturday, 29th November 2003, organised by the department and titled “It-Trankwilità Qarrieqa tat-Test: Perspettivi Oħra tal-Letteratura Maltija.”
