International Hotel Investments plc (IHI) has announced that the offer period for its €35 million 5.30 per cent unsecured bonds maturing in 2035 will close earlier than originally scheduled.
The company, which had launched the bond issue pursuant to a prospectus dated 20th February 2025, confirmed that the offer period will now close on 7th March 2025 at 12:00 pm, instead of the original date of 21st March 2025.
As a result of this early closure, the Intermediaries’ Offer – which was initially planned for 21st March 2025 – will no longer take place.
IHI has stated that it will announce the basis of acceptance for the bond issue by no later than 17th March 2025.
The bond issue forms part of IHI’s strategy to partially finance the redemption of its existing €45 million 5.75 per cent unsecured bonds, which are set to mature on 13th May 2025. Through this new issuance, IHI aims to gradually reduce overall debt exposure while enhancing profitability across its global operations.
The earlier-than-expected closure suggests strong interest from investors, reflecting confidence in IHI’s performance and future outlook.
The new bonds are expected to be admitted to trading on the Official List of the Malta Stock Exchange (MSE) following regulatory approval.
IHI, the trading name of Corinthia Group, owns and manages a number of hotels in four different continents, and has also delved into residential and commercial real estate markets through a range of investments in subsidiary and associate companies. In Malta it owns the iconic Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa, as well as Corinthia Oasis, Corinthia St George’s Bay, Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Radisson Blu Resort, and Verdi St. George's Bay Marina.
Corinthia Group has five hotels in the works, all scheduled to be open by 2026. These are spread across Europe (Bucharest and Rome in 2025), the Middle East (Doha in 2025 and Diriyah in 2026), as well as South Asia (Maldives in 2026). All of these hotels are owned by third-party investors.
