For businesses navigating the complexities of modern operations, efficiency and scalability are paramount. From its base in Malta, OneAvant is making waves with its user-friendly platform, addressing the critical needs of businesses across diverse industries.

Matteo Lanfranco’s journey to the helm of OneAvant is rooted in a passion for technology and a drive for independence. “It started at a young age, with me seeking independence by leveraging the internet – using it as a tool to create opportunities, gain knowledge, and connect with the world in ways that weren’t otherwise accessible,” Matteo recounts, highlighting the early spark that ignited his entrepreneurial path. This passion evolved from web development and design to a broader vision of creating impactful business solutions.

OneAvant’s journey mirrors Matteo’s own evolution, transitioning from a bespoke, tailored software solutions company to a provider of a robust and scalable ERP platform. “For years, we built tailored software for businesses needing specific solutions,” Matteo explains. This hands-on experience revealed a recurring theme: the universal need for streamlined warehouse and inventory management. “We built up experience and a strong team to be able to sit down and think: maybe we can build one solution that solves everyone's problem, rather than one solution per problem.”

This realisation led to the birth of OneAvant’s flagship ERP platform, designed to address the core challenges businesses face in managing their operations. As the CEO notes, OneAvant’s ERP is focused on two key pillars: automation and traceability.

Emphasising the critical need for automation and traceability in today’s digital age, OneAvant’s ERP platform offers comprehensive digitisation and automated processes, tackling tedious tasks and providing businesses with unprecedented visibility and control over their operations.

Commenting on what it’s like to compete in a crowded market, Matteo acknowledges that OneAvant enters a competitive ERP market, facing established players like Odoo, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics, yet highlights OneAvant’s unique strengths. “From Malta specifically, we bring in international standards,” Matteo states, differentiating OneAvant from legacy software providers. He points to the company’s “fresh-minded” and “young” team, driven by a vision to redefine industry standards rather than simply replicate existing solutions. Customer support is another key differentiator, he adds. “We give extensive customer support. We want our clients to feel like our friends,” Matteo emphasises.

Meanwhile, scalability and adaptability are central to OneAvant’s philosophy. Matteo explains how the platform is designed to cater to businesses of all sizes, offering customisable features and modular applications that can be tailored to specific needs. “Our system is typically scalable to the extent that we can offer customers the ability to have custom features inside of it,” Matteo notes.

Moreover, OneAvant’s ERP platform offers a range of applications, including HR management, e-commerce website integration, payroll reports, and roster management. This modular design allows businesses to adopt the solutions they need now, with the flexibility to scale and expand as their needs evolve.

Looking ahead, Matteo’s vision for OneAvant extends beyond technological innovation. He speaks passionately about creating a sustainable ecosystem of opportunity, where OneAvant’s success is intertwined with the growth and empowerment of its clients and team. “I want to know that on my deathbed, I’ve changed enough lives with a positive impact,” Matteo shares, revealing the deeper purpose driving OneAvant’s mission.

This vision is reflected in OneAvant’s internal culture, which fosters an entrepreneurial spirit and empowers team members to take ownership and be creative. “The ethos is about hiring great people with lots of potential, who enjoy the aspect of the job they are doing, invest in their growth and development and being there as a support function. In essence, they are self-empowered and autonomous.”

Looking back on their experience thus far, Matteo acknowledges that the journey to build OneAvant has not been without its challenges, comprising the inherent hurdles in establishing a new company and competing in a dynamic market. “There are a lot of ups and downs, trials and errors; a lot of failures,” he admits. However, he views these challenges as learning opportunities, fueling OneAvant’s growth and refinement.

Apart from this, embracing change is a core principle for OneAvant, particularly in the rapidly evolving tech landscape. “Embracing change and adapting to change is key,” Matteo asserts, highlighting the company’s agility and proactive approach to innovation.

Moving forward, Matteo’s focus remains steadfastly on client success and continuous innovation. OneAvant is dedicated to refining its ERP platform and expanding its reach, driven by a desire to empower businesses with the tools they need to thrive. As Matteo concludes, “our objective is to give the best customer experience possible – to delight our customers with our product.”

OneAvant operates under the umbrella of Ocean Pond Group, a dynamic holding company that oversees a diverse range of ventures. Among them are Deleito, a popular burger joint, and Algoritcom, a cutting-edge video game development company, both based in Barcelona. Additionally, Matteo and his partner co-founded Prism Studio, another game development firm headquartered in Malta. “Our vision for the holding company is to cultivate a sustainable ecosystem of opportunity,” Matteo shares, highlighting the deep interconnectedness of these ventures and their collective mission to create shared value across the group."
