HSBC Malta has celebrated its employees, customers and longstanding relationships through a series of events, as the bank continues preparations for its transition to CrediaBank.

The programme included the bank's annual Townhall, a customer summer event and its annual staff celebration, with each event focusing on the people and relationships that HSBC says have underpinned its success over the years.

During the Townhall, employees from across the organisation reflected on the bank's achievements, discussed strategic priorities and looked ahead to the next phase of its journey. Staff were also told that, as HSBC Malta transitions to CrediaBank, the people who have contributed to the bank's success will continue to play a central role in the business following the change in ownership.

The customer event brought together clients, partners and guests in recognition of relationships built over many years, while the staff celebration focused on recognising teamwork and strengthening connections across the organisation. According to HSBC Malta, the events reflected its continued investment in employees, customer relationships and workplace culture.

Commenting on the initiative, HSBC Malta CEO Geoffrey Fichte said the continuity of people, relationships and expertise would remain the foundation of the bank's transformation into CrediaBank.

"Our greatest strength has always been our people and the relationships we have built with our customers over many years," he said.

Mr Fichte added that, while the proposed acquisition by CrediaBank remains subject to regulatory approval, it is "business as usual" for customers and employees.

"We continue to focus on delivering the highest standards of service to our customers, investing in our colleagues and supporting the communities we serve. This is the same team that will carry it forward into CrediaBank's next chapter," he said.

He also said the bank expects the transition to create opportunities to build a stronger institution while continuing to support customers, employees and Malta's economic growth, stressing that continuity would remain central throughout the process.
