The Quad Central and Greens Supermarket have announced the expansion of Greens to another location within the Central Business District at Mriehel.
Greens’ new outlet, which will include a “fully-fledged open area of 6,000 square meters”, will consist of a large supermarket and a landscaped pedestrianized piazza.
The location’s size has allowed the company to design a fresh market concept including a fishmonger, butcher, fruit & veg, cheese counter, health section, an extensive wine cellar, a bakery section and more.
Greens says it used its experience as a leading supermarket chain to recreate and enhance its “superior shopping experience”, within its vision for the new supermarket at Quad Central.
Additionally, it will be opening a “trendy and up-market” Bistro with indoor and outdoor seating and an open kitchen concept.
The Bistro aims to create a “smart and trendy food and drink experience, incorporating comfort and fun to become a destination venue for recreational and business drinks and meals”.
“The Quad Central has been designed with the first two levels overlooking the landscaped Piazza, dedicated solely for amenities and the receptions for offices”, it explains.
The Piazza level will host a fitness and wellness centre, a childcare centre, a juice bar, coffee and food shops and other amenities including a stationary and dry cleaning service. The car park is expected to have the capacity for 1,5000 vehicles and will have bike racks and a car wash to cater for tenants and visitors.
“The Quad presents a unique opportunity for us to provide convenience and quality in what we believe will be Malta’s most recognised business address through the well-known Greens brand”, said Joseph Sammut, Managing Director of Greens Supermarket.
