FreeHour has proudly announced it won Best App in the 2021 TechMT eBusiness Awards.
The company operates Malta’s largest student platform, consisting of an innovative mobile application used by over 90 per cent of students in Malta, according to its own figures.
It also has an online following and community of 40,000 plus students and youths aged between 13 and 27 years old, it says.
As a start up founded by 18 year old student Zach Ciappara in 2017, Freehour is currently experiencing accelerated growth as it employs a team of 17 people whilst operating multiple large campaigns & partnerships amongst the local youth community.
Announcing its award on social media, it said it was “thrilled” to have been named as winners, and said that over the past months, it has “worked tirelessly” to bring Malta’s students a “major app revamp” with FreeHour 2.0.
The company also thanked its users for their contributions, saying they drive it to keep pushing and breaking boundaries, and bettering itself.
Looking to the future, the company said: “Whilst we’re beyond honoured to have won this award, we’re set on continuing our work in being the best platform we can be for students and youths across Malta.”
The eBusiness Awards is an awards ceremony organised by Tech.mt and is intended to promote and reward Malta’s Best Tech Companies and Solutions.
