Franco Aloisio on Tuesday announced that he has joined Malta’s financial watchdog, the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA), as the regulator’s Head of Communications.

The seasoned communications professional expressed gratitude for the “new” and “exciting” opportunity which sees him delve back into the world of financial services.

Franco recently bid farewell to digital marketing agency JPA after close to four years, where he occupied the post of Head of PR & Strategic Comms.

His professional background is rooted in journalism, communications and marketing within the media, telecoms, financial services and banking industries.

He previously served as Head of Marketing and Communications at GO plc for four and a half years, Head of Communications at HSBC Bank Malta for close to eight years, followed by a short stint as Head of Marketing and Communications at Calamatta Cuschieri, which led him to his last role at JPA.

In his earlier years, he also occupied posts at GlobalCapital plc and Standard Publications Ltd.
