Cassar Marine Group has announced the passing of its Founder and Director, Charles Cassar.
In a heartfelt tribute shared on social media, the group described Mr Cassar as “a true gentleman” whose “warmth and kindness touched the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.”
“A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor, but your voyage inspired us all,” the company wrote. “Sail on, Captain – your journey now continues beyond the horizon.”
Mr Cassar’s entrepreneurial journey began in 1967 with the repair and maintenance of small yachts and boats. Over the decades, his passion and leadership transformed the family business into one of Malta’s leading shipyards, known today for its exceptional service to both local and international clients.
Tributes from those who worked with Mr Cassar poured in, with one former colleague writing: “It was truly an honour to have worked under his leadership.”
Mr Cassar leaves behind a lasting legacy in the Maltese maritime sector, remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his character and enduring spirit.
