EmpowerHER, a Maltese voluntary organisation supporting women in business and the creative industries, will hold a festive event showcasing the work of 17 local female designers later this month.
The initiative, Christmas at Designers Boutique, will take place on Saturday, 22nd November 2025, from 10am to 7pm at 14/15 Old Theatre Street, Valletta.
The one-day event marks the start of the boutique’s seasonal programme and aims to strengthen visibility for small, women-led brands. Designers Boutique operates as a creative hub, featuring locally produced fashion, jewellery, accessories, art, and home décor. According to the organisers, the initiative is entirely community-driven and seeks to encourage the public to support local craftsmanship during the holiday period.
Guests attending the event will be welcomed with complimentary drinks, Christmas carols, and the opportunity to meet the designers. EmpowerHER stated that each purchase made during the event directly supports women entrepreneurs and contributes to sustaining small creative businesses in Malta.

Dana Carmont, founder of EmpowerHER, said the organisation operates on a non-profit basis with the aim of providing a platform for women in business. “Our mission is to give women in business a voice, a platform, and a sense of community.”
Designers Boutique, which hosts 17 women-led brands, positions itself as a collaborative and sustainable alternative to mass-produced retail.
The designers involved span a wide range of disciplines, from clothing and jewellery to visual arts, skincare, and upcycled fashion.
Entry to the event is free, and visitors are invited to explore the collections, meet the creators, and support local artisans as the festive season begins.
