EF Language School is kicking off a specialised language course towards the end of May aimed at workers in the tourism sector gain confidence in their use of the English language.

The 30-hour online course is sponsored by the Malta Tourism Authority and will be focusing on receptive and productive skills related to the hospitality and tourism industry.

Spread over 10 weeks, the course will end in July, making it an opportune moment for businesses in the sector to retrain their staff, while most of them were forced to closed their doors to curb the spread of coronavirus in Malta.

The course aims to help participants become more confident when using English in tourism information centres, restaurants, hotels and airports, socialising with clients, event hospitality, networking and working with travel agents.

“It is ideal for employees who need to become more confident in using English as a main language of communication in their daily working environment. It is also an ideal platform to share best practice across a variety of sectors within the industry," EF said.
