John Winfield, Founder and Managing Director of Malta’s Dr Juice, has been awarded EY Malta’s Rising Star Award 2021.

EY Malta’s entrepreneurial awards, currently in its fourth year, form part of the global EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, established 30 years ago and now operates in 60 countries worldwide.

EY Malta described the rising star award as “unique” for its recognition of “up-and-coming entrepreneurs whose business s still relatively new but is already showing great potential”.

Celebrating the recognition, Dr Juice, in a social media message, described how Mr Winfield began his journey 12 years ago, succeeding in developing an “iconic, well-loved brand”.

“He has been a pioneer in bringing healthy solutions to Malta and has developed the market through his excellent foresight, passion and dedication.

“Faced with several challenges along the way, in particular over the last year, John chose to see each challenge as an opportunity for growth and innovation, thus strengthening the brand further.

“On behalf of the entire Dr Juice family and team, we would like to congratulate John on his incredible success and we look forward to what lies ahead. One dream, one team.”

Previous winners of EY Malta’s rising star award include David Vella of Antaro Software (2017), Shane Hunter of AquaBi Tech Group (2018) and Ben Remfrey of Praedium Consulting (2019).

EY Malta also awarded Vassallo Group’s Nazzareno Vassallo as its 2021 Entrepreneur of the Year.
