A donation jar at a pastizzeria in Marsa has been stolen for the second time in the space of three months.
CCTV footage posted on the Facebook page of Sphinx Qormi Road, Marsa on Wednesday (today) revealed that during the morning, a woman stole a donation jar that was meant to help raise money for a girl named Kate Ferriggi.
The owner of the pastizzeria told WhosWho.mt that the woman got inside, took a bottle of water from the fridge located near the entrance, and then proceeded to order a cappuccino.

However, as soon as the employee turned around to prepare the drink, she took the jar and sprinted out of the pastizzeria.
“She got inside of a car, and while the worker ran after her and called her to come back, she had already driven away,” the owner said.
The individual reportedly had a white Mercedes with a number plate that reads JCL 663.
The owner confirmed that a police report has been sent.

Prior to this incident, the jar had already been stolen on another occasion last March. The pastizzeria owner told WhosWho.mt that while the individuals had also been caught on CCTV, they still were not found.
The donation jar was meant to raise funds to help Kate Ferriggi, a young girl who suffers from Tattoon Brown Rahman Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder.
The news of Wednesday’s incident was met by a number of online users expressing their anger and disappointment that individuals would be willing to steal from others in need.
