Rosemarie Stagno Navarra, Secretary of Din l-Art Ħelwa Għawdex has passed away at the age of 74.
Born on 4th March 1951 and hailing from Mġarr, Gozo, Ms Stagno Navarra was dedicated to safeguarding the island’s built and natural environment through her voluntary work with Din l-Art Ħelwa’s Gozitan branch. Her contribution to heritage protection earned her the respect and gratitude of many.
In a tribute shared following her passing, Din l-Art Ħelwa Għawdex thanked her for “all the dedication and effort” she invested in helping to protect what remains of Gozo’s heritage, noting that the island “owes [her] a great debt of gratitude.”
Alongside her voluntary work, Ms Stagno Navarra also had a distinguished professional career in hospitality as she served as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz.
Her funeral will be held on Friday 30th January 2026 at 10am at St Helen’s Basilica, Birkirkara.
