The World Health Organisation’s (WHO) Director for Country Health Policies & Systems, Natasha Azzopardi Muscat, represented the prestigious organisation’s Europe Office at a COCIR event on Wednesday.

COCIR, a European Trade Association representing medical imaging, health ICT and electromedical industries on the continent, held an event on ‘Realising the potential of health data for public good’.

Dr Azzopardi Muscat described her delight at being given the opportunity to present the WHO Europe’s Digital Health Flagship, which contains a number of aims.

Firstly, it aspires to accelerate the development of safe, inclusive and people-centred digital health services for universal health coverage.

It also aims to strengthen preparedness and resilience through data and digital technologies. Lastly, it aims to leverage digital technologies to transform health systems from reactive care to preventative care and well-being.
