David Camilleri has been appointed Non-Executive Director at Brown’s Pharma Holdings plc, the company announced in a market update on Tuesday.

He is a pharmacist by profession, previously forming part of the Pharmacy Council and the Council of the Malta Chamber of Pharmacists, among other roles.

He is also a “highly experienced” management consultant with over 23 years of experience in both the private and public sectors.

In this capacity, he has advised on “the establishment and implementation of transformation measures aimed at achieving strategic, functional and operational performance excellence”, as per the company’s announcement.

On LinkedIn, Mr Camilleri describes himself as having “an innate capacity for independent thought, thorough and learned analysis”, noting that his “ability to identify the common denominator” has helped him lead “multi-disciplinary and multi-interest teams on sensitive and complex projects”.

“Characteristic to Mr Camilleri’s professional career is the capacity to secure strong client trust and confidence always adopting the highest level of professional and ethical approach coupled with excellent leadership, project management, strong team and inter-personal, communication and presentation skills.”

Brown’s Pharma operates a network of pharmacies across Malta.

Set up in 1998 by pharmacists Alexander Fenech and Robert Spiteri, it is geared towards the commercialisation of pharmaceuticals and allied products such as health and beauty items, as well as services.
