Daniela Cachia, a former LeoVegas Group employee and alumni of ICE Malta has joined Klarna, a Swedish fintech giant worth $45.6 billion (€39.77 billion), she announced this week.
Ms Cachia joins the company, which provides online financial services, such as payments for online storefronts and direct payments along with post-purchase payments, as a Senior Marketing Associate.
She was appointed after four and a half years at LeoVegas Group, which she joined as CRM Delivery Casino Coordinator, before rising through the ranks and becoming CRM Manager for MGA Markets in 2020.
Prior to that, she served in the Admin and Operations Department of local wine and craft beer importer and distributor Bicanter Imports.
Klarna is one of the world’s leading fintech companies, with over 5,000 employees, according to its social media.
The company was founded in 2005 by Sebastian Siemiatkowski, Niklas Adalberth and Victor Jacobsson. Its core service is to provide payment solutions for the e-commerce industry, while also managing store claims and customer payments.
It also notably offers ‘buy now, pay later’ services, offering customers credit on their purchase at the point of sale.
