The Malta Business Registry (MBR) has marked a professional milestone for Colin McElhatton, Senior Manager within its Finance and Administration Unit, who has reached 25 years of service with the entity.

In a statement, the MBR said Mr McElhatton’s long-standing contribution reflects his dedication, leadership and commitment, noting the impact he has had over more than two decades within the organisation.

Mr McElhatton’s role covers a broad range of responsibilities spanning procurement, operations and administrative management. His work includes establishing procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines, and overseeing tendering processes – from developing technical specifications and submitting documentation for approval to participating in adjudication processes.

His remit also involves managing supplier relationships and supporting finance-related functions such as invoice reconciliation. Beyond procurement, he is involved in streamlining administrative processes aimed at improving efficiency and reducing costs.

In addition, Mr McElhatton oversees facilities services and coordinates with facilities management teams to support day-to-day operations. Project management forms part of his role, including monitoring the progress of ongoing and new initiatives.

He also supports the Chief Operating Officer in operational areas such as cleaning, security and transport, while working alongside internal teams and external suppliers. Mr McElhatton is additionally an active participant in the organisation’s Health & Safety Committee.
