Premier Capital has announced the appointment of technology entrepreneur Claudine Cassar as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective as of Friday.
Unveiling her engagement in an announcement on Malta’s stock exchange, the company, which is the licensee for McDonald’s outlets in Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Malta and Romania, said she has over 23 years of strategic and management experience.
“She is the founder of Alert Communications, a long-time leading player in the Maltese technology sector, which was acquired by Deloitte in 2016. [Ms Cassar] was also Managing Director of Alert Solutions, a company she acquired in 2012”, Premier Capital recounted.
More recently, she was a Partner and Consulting Function Lead at Deloitte between 2016 and late 2020.
Additionally, she has held senior positions at the Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCAST) and at Jobsplus.
She is also the Founder and current Chair of the Blossom Foundation which undertakes projects to support children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Her appointment comes at the head of a challenging year for Premier Capital, which posted a pre-tax profit for 2020 of €19 million – €9 million less than it did the year before.
The Maltese owned company is the McDonald’s business within Hili Ventures.
The group is engaged in multi-sited operations with McDonald’s and Apple, logistics, marine & engineering, property, oil & gas, technology, hospitality and leasing.
