Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates has appointed Matthew Debono as CEO, he announced on Friday.

Prior to his latest appointment, he was the Malta-based law firm’s Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for over three years.

As CCO, he was responsible for defining and overseeing the firm’s long-term commercial strategies, together with creating and implementing objectives and goals, managing department and employee growth, as well as “ensuring that the optimum level of client satisfaction is met in all stages of the engagement and service process”.

Aside from his time at Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates, Mr Debono’s experience also includes various senior management positions at Foster Clark Products Ltd, Charles de Giorgio Ltd and Nestlé. He was also Sales and Marketing Executive at Eden Leisure Group for over two years.

The law firm describes him as a seasoned professional in analysing data, developing long-term strategy objectives and “creating the path to success”. “Quality service to clients and partner firms, together with high employee engagement are key to achieving results,” the firm adds.

Mr Debono holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Studies from University of Malta.

Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates was founded in 2002 and provides legal, immigration, tax, and fiduciary services to a wide range of clientele, including entrepreneurs, business families, and multinational companies.
