For over a century, Charlie’s Inn has stood as one of Malta’s most beloved destinations for the traditional fenkata. Situated at the start of the Coast Road in Salina, right beside the historic Salina Catacombs, the family-run restaurant has been a household name since it first opened in 1920.

Known for its rabbit, pasta and other traditional Maltese dishes, Charlie’s Inn became synonymous with local cuisine. Some patrons even hailed it as the “best in Malta for rabbit.”

Now, after decades of service, the restaurant is preparing to close its doors for good. GuideMeMalta.com has confirmed that Charlie’s Inn will officially serve its last meals on Tuesday, 30th September, marking the end of an era for Maltese dining.

In a message to patrons, the owners expressed gratitude to the generations of diners who returned time and again, helping to make Charlie’s Inn more than just a restaurant. It became a space where meals turned into memories, whether over a plate of rabbit stew or a leisurely weekend lunch.
