On Wednesday, Oceans and Cables Ltd announced that Charlene Sciberras has been appointed as Director of the company, with effect from 1st January.

This strategic announcement comes just after the end of what the company described as “another successful fiscal year for the company.” The appointment is setting the stage for a new "chapter of growth and expansion" for Oceans and Cables under its new Board of Directors.

Ms Sciberras has been an “integral part of the company’s journey, spearheading all facets of marketing and public relations since its inception.”

During her time at the company, she had the role of steering the company's public relations through various milestones, and hence her recent appointment was described as part of a natural progression.

“Particularly as Oceans and Cables Ltd looks to broaden its footprint in Malta and extend its spectrum of services,” the company continued.

Apart from her expertise in marketing and communications, Ms Sciberras has a substantial track record in occupying diverse managerial roles across different businesses.

Her understanding of the business, along with her “proven leadership capabilities, positions her as a valuable addition to the executive team.”

Director Aldo Monaca expressed his enthusiasm while stating that “her extensive knowledge, commitment and proven expertise are certain to bring significant assets to the company.”
