Bjorn Pace was recently appointed Senior Consultant with a Malta-based compliance consultancy firm, Shoulder Compliance.

Announced by founder and compliance expert Charles Cassar last week, Mr Cassar remarked that “he will surely be a valuable asset to Shoulder Compliance and [its] growing family of clients”.

Dr Pace is a lawyer by profession and was described as having “strong technical knowledge across the compliance field, and good experience in both consulting as well as in-house roles”.

He has over five years of professional experience in the financial services industry, which include experience in securities and markets, corporate governance, compliance and anti-money laundering, as well as in European law.

“Throughout my professional career, I have worked both in the private sector, with a reputable regulatory advisory firm, and also in the public sector, with the sole Maltese financial services regulator, were part of my tasks included the review and processing of regulatory licence applications.”

Following his stretch at the Authorisation Unit of the Malta Financial Services Authority, Dr Pace re-joined the private sector as a Corporate Services Manager with SwissIndependent (Malta) Ltd, a Maltese Trust company.

Today, he joins the small but promising team at Shoulder Compliance, at a time when businesses are more focused than ever in ensuring they are up to date and in line with changing regulations.
